X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is the emission of characteristic "secondary" (or fluorescent) X-rays from a material that has been excited by being bombarded with high-energy X-rays or gamma rays. The phenomenon is widely used for elemental analysis and chemical analysis, particularly in the investigation of metals, glass, ceramics and building materials, and for research in geochemistry, forensic science, archaeology and art objects such as paintings.
Application range:
XRF is mainly used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of a total of 83 elements with atomic numbers ranging from oxygen to uranium.
The specific application is in the following aspects:
1 Ore powder
2 Chemical industry
3 Metallurgy
4 Ceramic cement
5 Agriculture, Food
1. 3-5g powder samples shall be provided, and samples shall be less than 200 mesh and completely dried.
2. The thickness of light alloy (aluminum magnesium alloy) should not be less than 5mm, other alloys should not be less than 1mm, and the thickness of other materials should meet 3-5mm.
3. The surface of the detection unit should be as flat as possible, and the lengthand width should not exceed 45mm.
